It goes without saying that modernization and westernization look similar. It is because the history of modernization is the history of Western society. In this case, Western Europe and North America are the center of modernization. However, modernization and westernization are different. Those can be still distinguished because they are actually different. One of the basic different is modernization process that the pressure is on technology and social organization or procedures of work, while Westernization is to become like Western people in total, without reserve, from the view of life to their lifestyle. So guys, which one will you choose be modern or be western?
AN OLD MAN WHO WORE A TIDY SUIT
When I went to a shop which sells toys, I saw an old man who wore a tidy suit. His hands which were wrinkled were full of toys. Some of them which were picked by him were dolls and motor-cars. I saw he wanted to pick another doll which wears a pink dress. Unfortunately, the toys which were more than four in his hand fell down. I helped him taking the fallen toys. I put them in a basket which I brought. Then, A small conversation happened. I asked him why he bought lots of toys. From that talk I knew that he bought lots of toys for his beloved grand children who were twins. He said that the following week they will celebrate a seventh birthday party. At the cashier, he paid my teddy bear which I picked before I helped him, too. Wow, what a generous man he is.
Good Lesson for Naughty Boy
One Sunday morning, a naughty boy in my neighborhood climbed the wall to reach the “duwet” (small Javanese fruit with purple color) tree. He picked dozens and put them in his pockets. As he was jumping down, he slipped and fell. The fruits in his pocket were squashed and made spots of dirt. He did not hurt himself, but he could not taste the fruits either. Unfortunately, his mother passed by and was angry with his dirty cloth. He ran home quickly and washed his cloth cleanly.

Every April 21st people in Indonesia celebrate the Kartini day. It is beautiful day for the woman because we celebrate the birth of great lady R. A. Kartini (Raden Ajeng Katini). Usually, we celebrate the Kartini day by doing lots of activities related to woman’s beauty and intelligent. Everyone knows who Kartini is. She is our national heroine and a great lady with the bright idea. Kartini was born in 1879 April 21 in Mayong, Jepara. Her father was the assistant of head regency in Mayong. She got better education than other children. She also had lots of friends from other countries. For years, she communicated with her friends in Dutch by airmails. Later, her friend collected her letters and published a book entitle “from the Dusk to the Dawn”
Although now Kartini has gone, but her spirit and dream will always inspire Indonesian woman to become success.

Lately, for the last three months, there have been many stealing incidents in this university. Every week, at least one motor bike is stolen. The police have tried to solve this case for two months. They did that by investigating the victims. The police state that the thieves have not been arrested because they belong to a huge mafia.
